Getting around the Frontier much FASTER

We’ve heard you loud and clear, folks! You’ve been requesting quicker ways to get around your planet


The brand spankin’ new Trailblazer mech upgrade has been added to the upgrade depot! Transform your mech into a swift four-wheeled speed machine to zip and drift around the frontier, making planetary travel but a breeze.


Return to your homestead instantly after a long day of exploration, saving valuable travel time! With this feature, you can venture out late into the night without worrying about making it back in time for supper. Simply open the in-game map and click on the homestead icon to teleport home. Keep in mind, though, that this ability can only be used once per day, and it activates only after you’ve slept in your homestead at least once. Use it wisely!


That’s right, y’all! Now you can move faster on paths you’ve built with your path maker tool. Use this speed boost to plan smarter and create efficient routes across the map!

Popular community suggestions


This has been one of the top requests from the community, and it’s a doozy! With the buildable Outfit Locker, you can now swap between 4 different helmet styles and pick your favorite color for your Exofarmer. Time to farm in style!


By popular demand, we’ve tweaked the day length again— now in-game days are 20% longer!


You asked, and honestly, neither the team nor Ulf had a good reason why the Seed Splicer wasn’t buildable.  But guess what? Now it is! Build as many seed splicers as you want to ramp up your spliced seed production and boost your chances of growing rare, mutated crops.  Exciting stuff!

Exofarmer 3rd person

You can now switch to 3rd person perspective when out of mech! Watch that P.I.C.K Axe swing in its full glory!

Expanded Selection in Ulf’s Sprout Trading

Ulf has discovered some new sprouts he wants to share with you! Trade with him and see what they are!

Improvement to the Plow

The Plow will no longer rotate its grid while lowered. This means you won’t have to stress about messing up your fields if your plow steering is a little off.

Improved animations and VFX

We’ve given our wonderful animals around the Frontier some extra love and polish with some fun new animations. Watch the animals interact with each other and see how they react when you give them a friendly spray with the irrigation hose!

Important information on crossplay

We’ve encountered unexpected issues with releasing the Trailblazer Update on our other platforms, originally planned for today, November 27th. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

While we don’t have an exact timeline for the fix, we’ll share updates with you as soon as we have more information.

As a result of this, crossplay functionality between Steam and other platforms will be disabled until the issue is resolved.

    • Accessed in map menu by selecting the last construct slept in, or using the shortcut button

🔁 Changes

  • Increased day length by 20%
  • The Plow will no longer rotate its grid while lowered
    • This means you won’t have to worry about messing up your fields by being slightly off with your plow steering
  • Increased range of Seed Shooter
  • The mech will now try to push away characters standing in its way instead of getting stopped by them
  • Optimized memory usage significantly, especially on Xbox Series X|S
    This should reduce the frequency of crashes on Xbox Series X|S
  • Improved baseline GPU and CPU performance
  • Increased the number of possible construct rotations from 16 to 32
  • Audiovisual effects of rain hitting the mech will now react appropriately to the mech being sheltered
  • Thunderstorms will now produce distant lightning (previously, only thunder was heard)
  • Made nighttime lighting more cohesive
  • Added a turn animation to all animals
  • Ulf and Diane has some new animations
  • Rescaled the bench decoration
  • Added Recipe Pin functionality to Animal Accessory Studio menu
  • Lessened cloud coverage during thick fog weather to make it look less dull
  • Tweaked dynamic falling leaf effects for improved visibility
  • Increased hazard triggering range
  • Improved fluidity of Spike Saw swings performed in sequence
  • Improved mech thruster VFX
  • Softened gradients on Waterwatcher tree leaves
  • Particle effects from Waterwatcher Trees now disappear when they are destroyed
  • Hunger for all Ranch Animals changed to be more consistent
  • Increased field of view when running with the mech
  • Slightly reduced the speed on Sprint Upgrades
  • Improved particle effect when breaking large bushes
  • Made some elements smoothly appear rather than pop in when transforming into a Plow, Pathmaker or Lawnmower Mode
  • Updated the mech upgrade menu
    • Now divides upgrades into categorized tabs

🐛 Bug fixes

  • Fixed issue where Seed Splicer wouldn’t save items currently being processed
  • Reduced number of places where grass appears to float above or clip into the terrain
  • Yellow Fan Bush in the wild can now be destroyed correctly
  • Fixed arrow indicator shown on some construct holograms casting a shadow when it should not have
  • The Region Restoration progress bar now goes all the way to 100% instead of completing at 95%
  • Added missing SFX when trying to relocate a construct that has another construct on top of it
  • Fixed issue where demolishing or relocating a Mansion would erase player-made paths in a large area around it
  • Fixed issue where placing two holograms next to each other, and then building one of them, would occasionally cause the other one to become invalid
  • Fixed incorrect texture panning for the distant volcano smoke
  • Fixed the mech sometimes not accelerating initially when using a Mech Mode
  • Fixed issue where Bug Fossil would fall through the world in Yellow Forest
  • Fixed issue where water would clip through the landscape on the beach in Yellow Forest
  • Fixed some mech parts being hard to paint on a mech using an alternate Mech Mode
  • Fixed camera shake caused by mech impacts having extremely low intensity
  • Fixed Medium Water Trough sounding like it has water after being emptied
  • Removed duplicated foliage
